Hmmm. Interesting.
From the Hollywood Reporter:

Some of the old guard wonder whether screenwriter and star Jason Segel has a true grasp of the characters they helped create.

UCA Puppet Films

A few week ago the University of Central Arkansas had a Handmade Puppet Dreams Marathon. Heather Henson, Sam Hale, Lyon Hill and I each hosted an evening. While I was there I "guest taught" Prof. Holly Laws design classes. I did a very simplified version of the class I teach at the O'Neill Puppetry Conference, and I decided that The Rag (show) style would be best for first time puppet artists. There were two different classes with two 2 1/2 hour class times each. The films were written, designed, and performed in groups. For all the limitations (and if you know me, you know I love limitations) I love how they came out! Please enjoy!

Singing Bird Automaton Pistols

Just in case you were wondering what you could get me for Christmas, and my birthday.

I went to a lecture about Automata at the Observatory in Brooklyn recently, and the lecturer brought in a stripped down whistling bird automaton. I have always been obsessed with them, and after I was able to examine it's inner workings I have been looking into building my own. I found this while doing some research. DAMN! Enjoy!

Dirty Puppet Dancing

Watch a man get a dirty lap dance from a creepy marionette. The puppet looks "hastily" built, but boy does he get a lot out of it! I love that he didn't bother to give the puppet hair or fingers, but he gave him a watch.
